There are 3 species of heroes in H&C 2, unlike the prequel. Each species has it own 3 sub-classes.


Elf                                                                                                                                                                 []

Ranger

A ranged DPS class. Skills are used to make Bows better, and to aid in evasion.

Grandmaster

A Light DPS class. Skills are used to make Swords, Spears, and Scythes better, and to aid in things like armor penetration.

Druid

A Magic Support class. Skills are used to make Staffs better, and unlock peaceful magic abilities like "Root" and "Slowing".   

Dwarf[]

Engineer

A Ranged Support class. Skills used to make Guns better, and unlocks Defense abilities like "Auto Turret".

Berzerker

(Almost Identical to the Barbarian from H&C 1)  A DPS class. Skills used to make dual-wielding and axes better, and unlocks very selfish abilities like "Rage" and "Unstoppable" which harm allies, but buff the hero. 

Runesmith

A Tank class. Skills make Two-Handed Hammers better, and unlocks defensive abilities for allies and the very unique ''Rune Inscription''.

Human[]

Knight

A DPS class. Skills make most melee weapons slightly better (focusing on swords).

Paladin

A Support class. Skills makes most melee weapons slightly better (focusing on blunt weapons), and provides very army supportive abilities.

Mage

An Offensive Magic class. Skills make Staffs better, and unlocks mana boosting perks, and offensive magic abilities like "Fire Blast" and "Ice Shards".
